Demand Studios Sucks Motivation!

How to Motivate Your Employees Pre IPO

Well, it just keeps getting more and more surreal.

Just noticed this on Demand. Actually, it’s hard NOT to notice it because they put it in one of those stupid “click here or this will never go away” boxes at the top of the screen.

Take it away, Demand!

Hello and welcome!

I am thrilled to present you with this brand new forum we are calling: Demand Motivation.

We were inspired to create this forum based on activity we’ve witnessed in the general forums recently. We are excited to offer you a space dedicated to keeping yourself, and others, inspired and motivated. We encourage you to come together to set individual and group goals, share tips, and keep one another on track. We hope that you’ll take advantage of this space and connect with others who, just like you, are interested in setting and reaching their goals.

We’ll post tips, challenges, and offer our support – but it’s up to you guys to make this place grow and thrive.

Don’t forget your flair!

Oh, the BEST THING is the “MetalMan”telling everyone how happy he is to write How-tos for $7.50.
    Seriously?
I imagine him zoning through the “what will you do for a dollar” offers and picking up the ones that involve animals…

This could mark the end of the super earners. In terms of pay, anyway.

DMS already knows they can crank out 30 articles a day (regardless of pay), they just might need extra motivation for when rates drop.

Money is great motivation. Always has been & always will be.

It’s funny because I always thought money was the motivation to write articles for DS. Cutting the prices in half pretty much cuts my motivation in half.

I agree with Bob about the timing of the Motivation forum and the rise of $7.50 how-tos (and $15 LS health).

At this point, why doesn’t DS just give up and put its existing library through a spinner if it needs new content. No one’s writing a $7.50 About. The only way I would write a $7.50 About is if I only needed one reference, and my article didn’t go through a CE. If you expect me to hunt down a reference for everything and deal with a moron CE on top of that, I’m gonna need the full $15.

What are they thinking in Santa Monica? Time to make another Motivation Music Video I guess.

Demand Media Studios really is starting to show signs of desperation. Their ads for writers and editors have been modified, and they are appearing in the oddest places.

The company’s “subversive” pay cuts are painfully obvious. The company can’t motivate its own workforce, so it relies on its worker bees to boost morale. It’s as if Demand Media Studios has slipped into the abyss and can’t back pedal fast enough to recover. The company knows it’s not sustainable, but if it baffles the zombie masses with bullshit, maybe they will take the bait and spread the propaganda.

I just shake my head in disbelief when I read the z-forums. And I think to myself that nearly 10,000 zombies will be staking out a place in the welfare lines. The company needs more How-Tos about filing for and receiving state and federal benefits. It’s not going to be pretty.

End of rant. I just had to get my thoughts about all this off my chest.

Holy shit! They’re herding the most obedient zombies into one forum to goad each other to work even longer and harder. And if the zombs don’t succeed, DMS will step in with fun little “challenges” to ensure they keep the crapola machine cranking 24/7.

    Priceless.

The Squeals of Joy are astounding. What exactly do the zombs think the brand spankin’ new forum is? At best, each needy soul can create its own little fiefdom on its very own little thread without threat of moderation. No wait — the truly BEST part is that the anointed ComMods don’t seem to have moderating ‘privileges’ in the motivation forum. Tips the scale of power a little now, doesn’t it? There are now officially more places where you-know-who (and the other you-know-who that’s increasingly showing signs of complete lack of DMS knowledge and common sense) have no authority beyond that of fellow posters. Perfect.
