Okay.
So this was passed on to a little bird from me. Maybe it was Richard (as he would like to be pictured to the left there). I don’t know. And I’m not saying.
Go sign up at Suite 101. You have to write an entry essay. Yes, it’s retarded. Just do it.
Once your essay is approved, you’re a Suite 101 writer.
Here’s the fun part.
You know those articles that some dumbass CE gave you rewrites on at Demand ? You know, the ones you were about to get rid of because you weren’t about to rewrite them?
Cut and paste the article into Suite101.
Demand doesn’t own the article until they pay you for it. If it’s rejected by a dumbass copy editor, it’s their loss.
You can juggle around the title. Maybe even get better SEO. Doesn’t matter – it’s still YOUR ARTICLE.
Our little bird tells us that Suite has a minimum article length of 450 words, but that shouldn’t be a problem for you Demand sluts.
Suite 101 doesn’t pay shit, but it starts to add up. Use this as your backup Demand writing gig. For every Demand article you write, go and rewrite it for Suite 101.

I wrote two articles for DS recently, after having done 80 or so successfully. These two pieces on medicine required a fair amount of research and time on my part, for a measly $25. Both were rejected on some inane point about references. I was offered two appeals. I tried to use their form to make two appeals. I could not get the forms to work. Important emails for five days between me and the “editorial team,” after I asked for an alternative method to appeal. Finally, I told someone what the two articles were that I wanted to appeal. Then she replied “sorry, but you did not make your appeals within the seven day time limit.” It’s a good thing they can hide behind their computers; otherwise I’d be coming after the b*ast*rds! I am a professional writer with more than 40 years of experience and this is the most dysfunctional bunch of amateurs I’ve even encountered. Good luck to you, and to them!

Yes, you can post it on Suite101. Make sure that you add as many keywords as possible and SEO tweak the title.
Your best bet, however, is still Constant Content. You can make your money back a lot faster.

Suite 101 pays residuals according to their own rev share formula, similar to the old eHow WCP and Examiner. It’s better than AC in the long run, though it can take time for the earnings to accumulate.
Personally, when I do rev share any more, I prefer Adsense rev share sites that let my Adsense code be displayed part of the time. That way, my earnings get dumped into my Adsense account. I think this is a good strategy if you have a website or blog monetized by Adsense, but have trouble meeting the $100 payout every month.
Hubpages and Infobarrel are pretty good for this, and they let you put links in the article, so you can promote your website or make money from affiliate links.
Hubpages has a lot of DSers, and I avoid their forums completely. Infobarrel has a weird forum cult of their own, they are basically the eHow haters club, replete with their own kind of zombies. I avoid their forums too. But for Adsense earnings, both sites are pretty good.
All in all, I think your own sites and upfront payment gigs are the best things to focus on. Article sites are just making the owners rich.

AC has minimum of 350 words, that’s where I sell mine. By the end of the year you’ll make $15 or more on the article.

I’ve tried to get in at Suite 101 like 3 times…I’ve been rejected every stinkin’ time.
I really like AC, but then again, I’m also a clout 10 and a featured contributor in 3 categories + local (so a total of four). That means I get 11 $10 assignments (3 $10 assignments for my categories plus 2 $10 assignments for local) per month. Since I tend to write on those subjects at DS too, if I need to abandon it, I get $10 for it plus the page view $. Pretty sweet deal, IMO.

Question about Suite 101… I have been using associatedcontent as my backup.. selling rejected or stuff I don’t want to re-write to them. They pay a token amount upfront but then they also pay for hits on the articles. They are fairly liberal about the content they will pay upfront for as well. Is Suite 101 better than associated?? Anyone know??????
