Hey kids!
Long time no hear, huh?
Well, sorry, now that I have a “real” job, I’m finding myself much less at Demand Studios (and Demand Studios Sucks, for that matter), than back in the salad days.
Speaking of the salad days, how about that title queue? I don’t have the super top secret Tech Beta privileges, so I don’t get to see those articles, but the general eHow and associated other eHows queues is hovering at a grim 40K titles.
Gone are the days when I was able to write ten articles on Tossing Someone’s Salad in a day.
So sad.
In other news, we received this little tidbit in our contact box, so take it with a grain of salt.
Demand Studios is phasing out the $25 pay scale that divides livestrong and livestrong nutrition by combining everything under Livestrong for $20, somewhat like they phased out the $30 pay scale for livestrong health.
Soon everything will be under livestrong for $20 and nutrition titles will simply say “nutrition” but will be under livestrong all together.
I’m shocked they have still not mentioned what they’re doing so I got tired of waiting for them to be honest. After meeting about livestrong they decided that they needed to improve the site to keep lance as a client.
They decided to redesign the site and pay writers $20 no matter what the title, so there will be no more separation for livestrong nutrition. I though you might like to know that.

I’m having issues viewing your site from my iPad?

Well, it looks like all of DMS has apparently gone on a diet. They have a whopping 0 titles available to claim now. I haven’t written a thing for them since early August but got curious and checked a few minutes ago. Hahaha, that place is such a bad joke!

This shows what a bunch of bullshit you have on this site. You get anonymous emails about inbox (which are the same type of paranoid bullshit people post over at the DS forum) and you think it’s true? Since there are no titles whatsoever in LS/LSN right now, there’s your sign that the whole thing is a lie.

Well, if you think about it, the post is actually true. The pay scale has been cut now that LS writers have no titles.

If this is true, it pretty much confirms there is, and never has been, a “glitch.”
Why can they release some titles, but not all? Why are titles gone in other sections, as well? DMS pulled the titles to lower the LSN prices and decrease expenses at the end of the quarter when they saw their books were going to look bad again. As simple as that.
What lying assholes these people are and continue to be.

I’m also confused as to how Lance is the client. What service is he paying for? Doesn’t DM pay him for the use of his gimmicks all over the site? Wouldn’t that make DM the client?
I can’t wrap my head around this Demand logic; it deserves it’s own academic department. Charley with his dissertation on “Paint is not native to Windows” can serve as department chair.

Yeah, I dont get that either. I guess the funds used to pay writers will go to site redesigns and contests.

I only graduated from a top tier college with a degree in Philosophy and a minor in mathematics, so forgive me for not understanding this logic:
We need to improve the site to keep Lance as a client.
therefore…
We are lowering the pay rate for nutrition articles.
Could one of the “braniacs” in the DMD offices explain how doing the second will help them achieve the first?
