Hope you guys are ok out there and have moved on to bigger and better things. We’re keeping the site alive just out of a sense of history – if anyone ever wants to know about Demand Studios and eHow, here’s the story in all it’s sordid detail.
This email popped up in our inbox and we just had to share.
The funny thing is that both Richard and I still have permissions. I went in and checked the queue just for a laugh and discovered I could still claim the one or two articles that were up there.
It was a good run while it lasted.
Demand Media closes Austin office. […]
It’s summertime. That means we’re on vacation. Just like Demand! LOL. Found this letter stuck in our letterbox. Looks like we might be around after Demand is gone! But don’t feel too bad. All the Execs cashed out long ago.
Once again there are ZERO titles to claim at Demand Studios! Take a look at the flimsy, sugar coated BS they are telling contributors now.
Two weeks ago I announced that we were making some changes to better support eHow’s overall editorial strategy. While that effort is still underway, we’ve determined that our best option going forward is to have a smaller number of contributors […]
How to Write for Demand Studios Sucks
This was dropped in our mailbox a few days back by fellow DSSer BamaFan. Make of it what you will. Feel free to post your own comments.

In the words of the wise and sage-like Todd Snider, it was all about that easy money, and I was just looking for the most I could get for the least I could do. And man, was it easy. The best part was, you could often write variations of another article you’d written previously. For example, I would […]
How to Go Down With the Ship
Sorry for the delay.
Yep. We’re still here and about, although things are more quiet than they’ve been in years.
Notice that there are finally some new titles floating about. How is everyone finding things there?
Demand stock, however, continues to hover in the sub $5/share price. Ouch.
