Hope everything is going well. So now it’s official – this site outlasted Demand media. LOL. Too bad we didn’t sell shares. Apparently Demand tried to pull the game where they changed their spots.
They’re called The Leaf Group now and – coincidentally – rang the opening bell on the US Stock Exchange just this week.
Anyone out there want to buy leafgroupsucks.com and direct it this way?
So it seems fitting right now that we got this interesting email from someone in the know and we’re putting it up here for your perusal.
Hey guys! I know we’re all on the same wavelength with […]
Our old buddy DMSIPO IPODMS points us to this recent article in Business Insider that talks about some changes going down at Demand/StudioD/whatever they’re calling themselves today… Apparently, they are contacting some of the old writers and asking them to add/update crap at the sites for crap pay. Looks like Leaf has turned over a new leaf.
Anyone still have permissions? Can you tell us the titles and pay rates available?
Oddly enough both Richard and I still have permissions to login to the site.
They changed their name before we did, so we’re declaring victory.
How to Take the Money and Run
Yeah, know it’s been a while since we rapped at ya, but not much seems to be going on at the Demand, er, excuse me, Studio D front.
Pretty funny. If you told me 5 years ago I’d still be updating this site, I would have laughed.
I logged into Studio D the other day just for the fun of it only to find the queues all empty. So sad. I still remember the glory days of writing ten articles on the same subject.
Maybe that’ll stir up some comments. Back in the day (let’s say 2009-2010), what was […]
Is Demand Studios closed for good? […]
The beginning of the end?
Yep. Looks like Demand is selling off eHow.
I wonder “e-How” the assignment queue is doing?
I’m just glad that Richard picked me up a Demand Studios t-shirt while they were available.
Howdy all – sorry for the delay. Been lots of craziness in the Demand Sucks world, but it looks like we have the website back under control. Just so that we all know what the score is, here’s some prices to remind you:
DMD IPO Price 2011: $23.59 Current DMD price 2015: $6.58
Of course, that current price is after a couple of splits, so I’ll leave all the financial mumbo jumbo up to you DSSers or Richard Head if he ever decides to show up again.
Anyway, thanks for all the emails. Here’s a guest post from DSSer “Bob Smith”.
Demand Media Studios was founded on one principle – […]
