Stock Photo Phun – October 20

This has been one of our ideas for a while, so we’ll see how it goes.

Your Caption Here

What you see at the left there is a picture uploaded by you, our loyal DSSers, into the Stock Photo Phun section on the forum.

We’ve selected this image and now it’s up to YOU to tell us what it means.

How do we do that? Why, with a CAPTION CONTEST, of course.

We’ve added a handy little vote button to the comments.

So, in your comment, leave a witty caption for the photo you see here.

Then you kids can vote for which [...]

How to Be Scary

One thing that I have to say about the new Demand is that I actually like their stock pictures selection.

Check it out on the left there. That’s one of the pictures that comes up when you type in “Scary” into the search box.

Why is this particular person scary? Because her hair is out of place? Maybe that’s what’s scary about her. She’s missing that other eye. The hair is covering her bloody socket. Oooohhhhh, scaaaaryyyy…

She looks more like a mime. Maybe she’s a scary mime. What is she miming?

How to Be a ‘Ho

Hey folks! Back here with a quickie. I’m trying to write at least a couple articles so I can be registered for the Demand Memorial Day Writers contest! One of us lucky writers will win a chance for $500 during a random pick. So the more you write, the more chances you have to win. Oh god, now I sound like one of those people who post on the Demand Writers Forum.

One of us! One of us!

Just wanted to touch on a comment left by one of the readers, Chicklett.

She was commenting on an earlier post where I asked what the hell was up [...]

WTF With Demand Photos?

One of the recent changes to Demand was the addition of some online stock photos.

Now, as much as I like to bitch about Demand, I think this was a great thing. It really saves a lot of time and makes it easier for writer.

The problem is – once again – with their cataloging system. It’s the same exact problem I was talking about with their f**ked up title category system.

Now, I worked in a library for a while. Some of my best friends are librarians, so maybe I’m a little anal about this.

But couldn’t Demand at least take the time to get this shit straightened out? [...]
