Institute opt-in email blast for monthly guidelines update.

Eliminate confusion by making the official guidelines the only source of information for editorial practices. Update the guidelines once a month. Send out a monthly guidelines update email to all staff and freelancers who want to receive the email. The email should detail any changes made to the guidelines, and it should come on the 1st day of every month even if there are no changes.

This advice applies to any publishing company.

Additionally, place a banner at the top of all DMS forums stating that anything said in the forum is not official policy, and it should be looked at as merely a place to help each other and have a circle jerk.
