Well, something has happened to Break recently, because their title queue has dried up. I've been looking for the past few weeks, and there are often less than 10 titles in the queue. If you go when they run their nightly recycling job, it's good but not great.
I've found that it's very easy to underestimate the amount of time it takes to write an article on Break. More-so than on Demand. Yes, you can insert some personality into the copy, but at the same time it can be a real chore to get their stupid keyphrase in as many times as they want it. I find that cramps my writing style far more than anything Demand Studios does. For all the shit they do, at least Demand does not require that you use the poorly worded title six times in your article.
I've also noticed that Break has changed the game a little bit. There used to be a lot more "5 of this" type articles in their queue. Now, they are asking for "10 of that". Given the material, any title calling for 10 examples will take more than twice as long as one that requires 5.
At first, I really dug the wacky titles over at Break Studios, but all the recent changes there have soured me on the joint. Writing 4-star articles for TextBroker is now a better gig. Demand, for all the shit they toss at us, is still far-and-away the best of the lot.
