Time logging fail

I have a few clients on oDesk that pay pretty well, one of which allows me to manually log my time worked (all three are hourly contracts). So far, the manual logging has worked well. However, oDesk's system goes down every so often for updates....and I'm guessing these updates are responsible for oDesk logging my time worked on a particular contract yesterday as being 14 hours....when I know I only logged 2.5.

I have no idea how the fuck it happened, all I know is when I went to sleep early this morning, my time was correctly logged. Then tonight I get an email from my client basically asking what the fuck I worked 14 hours on. I'm thinking, well, he must be on crack....and then I go and check my timelog, only to see that it now says I worked 14 hours yesterday. I'm like, what the fuck? Of course I had to explain to him and manually delete the time, but still, it makes me look like I was trying to pull some shit over on him.

Anyway, all this to say that the oDesk system is pretty fucked up and the fact that they fucked up may now cost me a client because my client probably doesn't trust me now. And I'm going to be pissed because it's steady work that I'll be missing out on.

Fucking oDesk.

Thanks, Berg. I think I just panicked a little too quickly because I'm still building things up financially, post-DMS. He's the type of client where no news is good news, so the fact that he has seemingly accepted my explanation is a good thing. Plus oDesk fixed the time. I still have no idea what happened, but am glad the time is correct now. And even if he does drop me, I just landed another two potential clients that would provide me with even higher paying work.
